AMMAN — The 39th edition of the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts has attracted more than half a million visitors, reflecting its growing prominence on local and regional cultural scenes.

 

Festival Executive Director Ayman Samawi said that the impressive turnout underscored Jerash’s reputation as a "premier" cultural, artistic, and tourism platform in the Arab world, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

 

Samawi attributed the festival’s success to the diverse artistic and cultural programme, which appealed to a wide-ranging audience. He also commended the smooth cooperation with key partners, including the Jerash Governorate, municipality, security agencies, and media outlets.

 

Samawi also highlighted the "strong" participation of Jordanian and Arab artists, alongside a broad spectrum of folkloric performances, cultural seminars, and workshops that enriched the festival’s overall offering.

 

He added that the "robust" audience engagement encourages continued efforts to expand and develop the festival, reinforcing its role as a national platform for celebrating art, culture, and creativity.
