AMMAN — Jordan’s Industrial Producer Price Index (IPPI) rose by 2.61 per cent during the first nine months of 2026 compared with the same period in 2025, according to a monthly report released by the Department of Statistics (DoS) on Sunday.
The index reached 109.42 points during the January-September period of 2026, up from 106.63 points recorded during the corresponding period in 2025, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

A sectoral breakdown for the first nine months of 2026 showed that manufacturing prices, which account for 88.74 per cent of the index's relative weight, increased by 2.52 per cent.
Prices in the mining and quarrying sector rose by 5.68 per cent, while electricity prices increased by 1.22 per cent during the same period.
On a year-on-year basis, manufacturing prices rose by 5.60 per cent in September 2026, while prices in the mining and quarrying sector increased by 6.46 per cent and electricity prices by 1.78 per cent compared with September 2025.
The monthly increase in September was driven by a 0.98 per cent rise in manufacturing prices, a 0.59 per cent increase in mining and quarrying prices, and a 0.21 per cent rise in electricity prices compared with August.
The IPPI measures average changes in the prices received by industrial producers at the factory gate, before goods reach wholesale, retail or consumer markets. It serves as a key indicator of production costs and potential inflationary pressures.
