AMMAN — The Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF), through the Royal Jordanian Air Force, carried out airstrikes on Saturday evening against the Daesh terror group targets in several sites inside Syrian territory, military sources said.
The strikes were conducted in coordination with partners within the framework of the International Coalition, as part of ongoing regional and international efforts to combat terrorism, the source said.
The source added that the operations aimed to degrade the capabilities of terrorist groups and prevent them from reorganising or using the targeted areas as launch points to threaten the security of neighboring countries and regional stability.
JAF source said that Jordan’s participation reflects the Kingdom’s continued commitment to counterterrorism efforts, safeguarding its national security, and contributing to security and stability across the region.
