Prime minister chairs meeting on weather-related damage

AMMAN — Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review efforts by relevant authorities to address damage in several regions after adverse weather conditions afected the Kingdom.
 
During the meeting held at the Prime Ministry, Hassan stressed the importance of intensifying public awareness and guidance campaigns, ensuring citizens receive accurate and timely updates during severe weather, and maintaining continuous monitoring of flood risks.
 
He urged the public to avoid hazardous areas to protect their safety, homes and property, particularly during exceptional weather conditions, according to a Prime Ministry statement.
 
The prime minister also underscored the need to sustain coordination between joint operations rooms and field teams to ensure effective responses to anticipated weather conditions throughout the season, while continuing repair work at affected sites.
 
The meeting was attended by the ministers of local administration, public works and housing, government communications and interior, as well as the chairman of the Greater Amman Municipality Committee and the director of Public Security.
