U.S. President Donald Trump issued a direct threat to Iran, vowing a military escalation targeting critical infrastructure if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened.

 

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump stated: "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day, all in one day, in Iran," adding: "There has never been anything like it."

 

He called on Iran to open the strait using sharp language, saying: "OPEN THE STRAIT... OR YOU WILL LIVE IN HELL - JUST WAIT AND WATCH."

 

This escalation follows a series of repeated warnings issued by Trump over the past few days regarding the targeting of vital facilities in Iran, amidst soaring tensions linked to maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
